  1. Excuse me, but could you make it possible to use copy rotation on a armature bone(not just the root) or event to make each bone able to be a parent?

This would simplify mechanical systems in blender, and allow me to design prototypes in blender without messing with envelopes,

  2. Hi, I have installed Blender 2.5 beta (2.56.0) and I found there a problem with scaling the bones. When I press Alt+S nothing happens.
Thanks. Blender is an amazing software:)

  3. Hi,

Thanks for the release! Its really better than the previous ones. =)

  4. Man, I can’t begin to tell you and the rest of the Blender team how impressed I constantly am with your work. I’ve been using your stuff since the first open source release and it’s just incredible how far it has come, and how much effort has been put in to this software. Thank you so much!

  5. Good work for image/movie part!
    Waiting news for GameEngine…

    • The game engine already works very well! But I don’t think the standalone player is ready yet.

  6. thanks very much for your efforts!!!

    keep on the good work

    happy new year

  7. Thanks for the updates, and getting this dev blog up. Is there a project roadmap? Features are suggested and accepted but one never knows how far along they are coming, etc. Was wondering when we’d get to see the CUDA stuff, or am i dense and have missed it?
Looking forward to working with the new release. While faster everything is great, i’m happy stability and non-crashing is the priority.

  8. Very impressive bug fix list! I cant imagine how stable this is going to be when it gets out of beta.

And it looks like my wish came true (see OpenEXR comment on COLLADA post), but i havent been able to test it yet. Im in the middle of a graphics card upgrade (FirePro v5800 yay!), hope blender performance will improve but i have no idea what to expect.

Thanks again for a great release!

  9. Please fix mirror links for Windows 32 and 64bit.

    • Fixed the links, thanks! NL 2 Mirror is still being synced, but should work soon.
